Range A, Tube Combine

Progressive-Ruesch Machine Company introduces our new Tube Combine. This fully integrated production system utilizes state of the art computer controls to provide unmatched flexibility and accuracy in the processing of tubing.

This multi-function line coordinates several functions beginning with a payoff system for bunched coils. In a typical operation bunched coils from user baskets are placed on a driven de-reeler which would pay the tubing off to a pre-straightening and cleaning station prior to presentation to the straightener. The straightener is arranged with four fixed and three hand wheel adjusted straightening rolls in each plane. Each of these rolls has two grooves to allow flexibility for changing sizes by simply inverting the rolls.

Following straightening, the material is presented to the AC, closed loop, servo motor controlled flying cutoff system which provides continuous speed and position correction during carriage acceleration. This design allows for the maintenance of line speed without the need for tube clamping or reducing line speed. The resulting tube lengths are accurately cut and then presented to either a run out table or integrated camless coiler. The camless coiler can be programmed to create consistent concentric, pancake coils of increasing radii or helical coils of a fixed radius.

The discharged coils are received by a non-elevating receiving table which is then tilted to allow the finished coil to be transferred to an awaiting conveyor or tote pan.
